Analogix Semiconductor, Inc., a world leader in high performance digital multimedia interface solutions, today announced that it has promoted Dr. Ning Zhu to the position of Chief Technology Officer.

Previously, Dr. Zhu served Analogix as Vice President of Engineering where he oversaw R&D and ASIC technology for the company. In this new position he will be responsible for the company’s overall technology, strengthening the company’s leadership in high-speed, mixed-signal products, and engagement with industry standard committees.

Dr. Zhu joined Analogix at the company’s inception in 2002. Since then, he has completed multiple strategic projects including high-speed SerDes (serializer/deserializer), HDMI transmitter/receiver, and the company’s DisplayPort products. His recent engagement with the company’s tier one customers has provided the opportunity for Dr. Zhu to present the company’s technology vision and leadership. His early contributions to and deep involvements in the emerging DisplayPort standard help position Analogix as the leading semiconductor solutions provider in the digital HD revolution. Dr. Zhu holds several patents in the field of data communication. Prior to joining Analogix, he held engineering positions at Mindspeed, Conexant and Synopsys. Mr. Zhu graduated from Tsinhua University, China with a Ph.D. in Microelectronics.
