Analogix Semiconductor has signed a partnership agreement with MediaTek. The deal blends MediaTek’s System-on-Chip (SoC) and Analogix’s DisplayPort technology for multimedia services.

Analogix offers integrated circuits (ICs) and intellectual property (IP) core products with support for Vesa’s DisplayPort standard up to the latest version DisplayPort 1.4 providing video and audio for resolutions up to 8K; DSC 1.2 for interoperable compression over display links; as well as HDCP 2.2 for an enhanced resolution, frame-rate and digital rights management that content providers require.

The Analogix DisplayPort technology has shipped into over 1 billion SoC units for multiple applications, from mobile devices and head-mounted-displays, to monitors, HDTVs, and media players.
